Diversity Initiative for Women and People of Color: Financial Assistance Information


Dalton Education is proud to offer CFP® exam education financial assistance to women and people of color looking to advance their career in the financial planning field.

Financial Assistance up to $3,000 is available for individuals who meet the demographic criteria and are not currently financial planners or advisors, but looking to begin a career in the industry. Our goal is to increase diversity in the financial profession by helping career changers and new-to-the-field professionals earn their CFP® certification.  Financial assistance can be used for CFP® education courses through University of Missouri - Department of Personal Financial Planning.

Scholarships are awarded on an ongoing basis based on the criteria with the application. If you would like to be considered and meet all eligibility requirements, please apply below. Candidates will receive award decisions within 30 days of full application submission.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a woman or person of color looking to pursue a career in the financial planning field.
  • Must have an undergraduate or advanced degree or be within 60 hours of an undergraduate degree (Junior or Senior).
  • Have not completed any prior CFP® education requirements
